Firearm Safety – Big Mule Guns and Tactical Supplies

Always assume the firearm is loaded.
Never point a firearm at something you are not intending to destroy.
Never put your finger on a trigger unless the weapon is aimed at your target.
Know what is in the background of your target before you shoot.
Never shoot at something you cannot see clearly as a threat. Don’t shoot in the dark, through walls, etc.
Always hold the firearm properly and securely.
When carrying a firearm, point the muzzle (end of the barrel) downward or upward.
Never pull the weapon from a holster if your not going to use the weapon. If you are wanting to have someone else look at the weapon, then tell them what you are going to do first.
Never trust that a safety will prevent the weapon from firing.
If confronted by law enforcement while carrying a firearm:
1. Follow their instructions;
2. Do not make any sudden movements; and
3. Either set the the firearm down slowly and move away or hold it extended by the muzzle.
Do not run, climb, or jump with an unsecured, loaded firearm.
Keep your firearm cleaned, oiled, and in a workable condition.
Do not manipulate your firearm to see if it will fire.
Use a proper fitting holster for your weapon.
Do not mix alcohol/drugs with firearms.
